Every figure here is read from the pricing the system actually charges — the same figures as GET /v1/pricing, in effect since 2026-09-20.

Beyond what is included

Included documents are counted per calendar month and unused ones do not roll over. Training use is not licensed.
Each plan includes a number of searches a month; beyond them a search is charged at the search price, and searches count towards the same monthly cap as everything else.
Free-plan retrievals are metered and receipted like any other, and one publisher's monthly Free allowance is shared by all Free accounts.
The spend cap is a ceiling on the whole bill
Every license has a hard cap: the most you can be charged in a month, all-in — plan price, platform fee and anything metered. By default it is 200% of the plan price (150% of commit plus fee on Enterprise).
When a request would take the month's bill past the spend cap it is refused — with a machine-readable reason — rather than charged.
Each API key can carry its own monthly spend cap, which counts that key's metered spend only.
What publishers are paid
Publishers receive 75% of content revenue; founding publishers receive 85%.
A publisher's share is fixed when they sign and stays for the life of that agreement.
